Even though the truth is that no one gets married with the intention to divorce, the level of divorce in the world is too high to ignore. With divorce being a topical issue for both non-Christians and Christians, the author chooses to be realistic about the dark journey that many have travelled, others are going through and some will endure. In his offering, some of the topics he looks at are why some people marry the not so ideal person for them and why others opt to stay as opposed to getting divorced even if they are not happily married. To those who choose to leave, he attempts to help them through the divorce process including how to handle the legal battles they will go through, cope with the agony of losing a partner, navigate the process of change and deal with societal expectations. He does not just help with the process but also digs deeper into self-mastery, self-love and self-care because if you don’t know who you are, what you want and learn to love and take care of yourself, you will struggle to deal with the after effects of the divorce.
