Despite being born in deprivation, out of wedlock, never acknowledged by her father during her childhood, Adelaide was enveloped by abundant love, which developed her capacity to overcome the devastating deaths of four close family members within a period of just four years.
Through her extraordinary passion to uplift the subjugated, Adelaide started her own recruitment agency in the living room of her grandmother’s Sowetan home in 1996. Her success in the recruitment industry was evidenced by, within a five-year period, her being acknowledged three times as one of South Africa’s top 300 black empowerment companies. Further accolades which followed, included prestigious awards for: People Accreditation, Top Gender Empowered Company, Small Business Excellence, Top Woman Owned SME, as well as winning the Richard and Marina Maponya Entrepreneurship award.
